I’m not usually the type to write these kinds of posts, but I feel I must.
Because I don’t want to seem like any of this has passed me by without meaning, or that I’m ungrateful for the beautiful things that have happened to me lately. Quite the opposite: I’m overflowing with gratitude and emotion, and I need to share it.
I’m still trembling after yesterday’s concert with DHG/Dødheimsgard Official at Roadburn Festival
Three days ago we performed in Oslo at INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL NORWAY and yesterday we brought last album «Black Medium Current» to life on one of the most breathtaking stages I’ve ever set foot on. The sound, the technical crew, the setting — everything was pure magic.
I had the immense privilege of singing backing vocals alongside my beloved Demonia Cristulcia , supporting and wrapping Yusaf Parvez voice, and playing the violin.
On stage, we stood as two flanks: the Spanish choral section on the left, and our wonderful Greek brothers on synths to the right: Pavel Ahouio and Vasily. There was an unspoken understanding between us, a beautiful complicity that transcended words and made the whole performance feel deeply connected and alive.
We spent long days rehearsing in Oslo: intense, beautiful, and soul-stirring sessions, not just musically, but personally. The conversations, the laughter, the silence, the mutual respect… those are memories I’ll carry with me forever.
Black Medium Current, although some may perceive it as a more accessible or straightforward album compared to what DHG has done before, is in fact an extremely complex and dark piece of work. It’s filled with raw, experiential nostalgia — a kind that feels real, lived, and haunting. I know from many people who truly connect with it that this is not an isolated feeling. Its depth is vast, layered like an onion — each listen reveals something new, like a plunge into the unknown. If you haven’t fully connected with it yet, I’d say: give it more time. It absolutely stands alongside DHG’s other albums in excellence, and perhaps even expands the emotional spectrum in ways that only become clear over time.
Together, we made many in the audience cry — and we cried too, overwhelmed by the emotional force of performing Black Medium Current in its entirety. Learning Norwegian to be part of this made the connection even deeper.
I want to thank every single person involved, and especially tag Yusaf Parvez and Cam for giving us the chance to feel useful, to show what we can do, and to be part of something greater than ourselves — a shared purpose: to stir hearts, bring tears, and remind people how powerful music can be.
And luckily… this is not the end. We continue next week in Barroselas, Portugal With full hearts, with all our energy and voices recovered,
and eyes still shining.

You can imagine a sentimental affection for the dying creatures of your childhood stories in Deemtee's experimental black metal landscape.
